travel to Rome without visa

I'm Mongolian citizen. I'm studing in Germany untel end of november, 2008 and I have AUFENTHALTSTITEL VISA. My visa type is D. Number of entries is MULTI.
Can I travel to ROME 3 days?

Traveling in Schengen countries with German residence permit

Hello,
I am Ukrainian citizen and U.S. permanent resident. Currently I am studying in Germany. Today, I've received my residence permit
(AUFENTHALTSTITEL D). I was wondering if I can travel to the Schengen countries without visa?
aslo, Do I need visa to travel to the U.K. for few days?

you cannot travel to UK...Uk is not memember of Schengen countries...you can used your residence permit to travel to other schengen country...but UK and Ireland is out of Schengen....

Unless your visa prior to your residence permit has been issued for Germany only, you should be able to visit Schengen Countries, but not U.K. where you would have to apply for a visa at a British consulate.
